This Tequila Lemon Drop is a delicious lemon drink for all tequila lovers. We have taken the traditional Lemon Drop Cocktail and made it with silver tequila. The flavors of the crisp, clean silver tequila pairs perfectly with the tart lemon and the sweetness of the simple syrup. We zest a little fresh lemon over top of the drink just to amp up the flavors.

There is one more tequila lemon drop style cocktail we highly recommend you check out next time you need a really amazing tequila cocktail; this Tequila Cinnamon Lemon Drop.

Ingredients

Silver Tequila: a clean and crisp good quality silver or blanco tequila is what you want for this Tequila Lemon Drop. The crisp flavor pairs perfectly with the tart lemon.

Tequila Brands We Love

Believe it or not the Costco Kirkland Tequila pictured above is SO good! Highly recommend. Some call it “Costco-migos” because it is peculated to be Casamigos under a Costco label.

Simple Syrup: making simple syrup is so… simple. Just two ingredients, sugar and water, is all you need. You can even make simple syrup in the microwave!

Ingredients for Tequila Lemon Drop Cocktail

Fresh Lemon: you will use the juice and the zest of the fresh lemon. A citrus press makes quick work of getting the juice out of the lemon.

After you make the cocktail, zest a little lemon over top. It really ramps up the fresh lemon flavor.

Sugar: a sugar rim is classic for a lemon drop cocktail. It mellows our the tart lemon in the cocktial. You will also need sugar to make the simple syrup.
