    Recipe Tips

    • Purchase quality fish sticks! We like the Trident Panko Breaded Fish Sticks (Costco).
    • The tartar sauce and slaw can be made a day ahead for easy dinner prep.
    • If you want fast and easy use flour tortillas, if you want more flavor use corn tortillas.
    • When you use corn tortillas warm them in a non stick skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side.

    Recipe FAQ’s

What are fish sticks made of?

Generally frozen fish sticks are made of mild white fish, such as cod, haddock or pollock.

How do I pick a good quality frozen fish stick?

Choose a fish stick that has a crispy breading. Also look for a fish stick that is made with fish fillet, NOT minced fish. Even better if they name the actual fish type on the package (ex. cod, haddock, pollock).
