This White Chocolate Chex Mix is a perfect sweet and salty version of the original. Made with almond bark, Chex, Cheerios, Pretzels, Roasted Peanuts and M&M's.
Chop the white chocolate almond bark. Then place in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on full power for 1 minute. Remove and stir. Return to microwave for 15 second intervals until just melted. Stir between intervals.
Slowly pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal mixture and stir to evenly coat.
Spread the mixture on parchment or waxed paper and cool. Optionally drizzle extra melted almond bark over top for extra "prettiness".
Once the mixture is cool, about 15 minutes, break the larger pieces into smaller bite sized pieces.
Store in an airtight container and refrigerate to keep fresh, up to 1 week.
Notes
Use an almond bark or white chocolate melting wafers, not white chocolate chips.
Sub Holiday colored M&M's for a festive touch.
Work quickly after the almond bark is melted, it will set up relatively fast.
For an extra flair, drizzle extra white chocolate over top while it is setting up. Could also use dark chocolate for contrast!
