These Cranberry Orange Sweet Rolls are a delicious and simple pastry recipe full of cinnamon, dried cranberries and orange zest. The recipe only calls for 6 ingredients and is ready in under 20 minutes. I also use the shortcut of store-bought crescent rolls to make this homemade pastry recipe super easy!
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.Unroll the crescent dough and lay it onto the baking sheet in 4 rectangles (see photo). Pinch together the seam between the triangles in each rectangle (see photo).
In a small mixing bowl, stir together the filling ingredients: brown sugar, cinnamon, orange zest, and dried cranberries.Divide the filling evenly across the crescent dough rectangles.
Roll the crescent dough over the filling, making sure you end with the seam side down.
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.Let the rolls cool while you make the Orange Glaze.
Orange Glaze
In a small mixing bowl, stir together the Orange Glaze ingredients: powdered sugar, fresh orange juice, and orange zest. Make sure there are no lumps in the glaze.
Assembling & Serving
Once the Sweet Rolls are cooled, divide all the orange glaze between the 4 pastries by drizzling it over the top. Slice the pastries in half, on the diagonal, for a total of 8 pieces. You can also cut each roll into 4 pieces (slices or triangles), leaving you with a total of 16 pieces, which is great if you want bite size pastries.
Notes
Store at room temperature, in an air tight container, for 2-3 days.
