When you have leftover
Roasted Turkey (or chicken) there is no better dish to make than
Turkey Pot Pie!
A pie crust is filled with a mixture of cooked turkey meat, veggies, & herbs in
a savory creamy sauce.
Soften the onions, garlic, celery and carrots in butter.
Add flour, then whisk in broth, herbs & seasonings. Then add cream, turkey & peas.
Place bottom crust into a 9 inch pie pan. Fill with pot pie filling.
Place top crust over filling. Tuck the top crust over the outside edge of the bottom crust.
To crimp the pie edge place your thumb and index finger on the outside and press the crust between them with the other index finger.
Bake the pot pie at 425 degrees for 30-40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Serve it up with a side salad and dinner rolls.
